Passionate about compelling experiences around Angkor? Love photography? Welcome aboard! Our mood trips cover various themes & concepts which define Angkor.

Find uncrowded niches at popular sites, make journeys around the jungles to explore hidden ruins, unwind by ponds and barays, and stop by unnamed spots which you will not find online but we have a GPS pin for that! And getting to the right spot at the right time? We use our own app for that as well!

Technically, we now have the best of both worlds- view slides, tips and spot overlays on the iPad’s large screen; track GPS pins with time-stamps on your phone, as you go!

Create on iPad, send to your phone. Done!

PLANNING
1. How many days you need? Swipe a set of photo cards to get an overall idea of Angkor experiences (1 min).
2. Starter guides and first-maps of basic areas, time-money, food, and activities. The minimum you need to know to plan a visit (15-20 min).
3. At this point our app is about trips, but we have listed a dozen boutique-exclusive resorts (Cambodian/French mix) which we are familiar with over the last decade.
4. Play full screen slideshows and mapcasts- explore all that Angkor offers with your travel buddies (1-2 hours, perhaps via Apple TV).
note: All images (photos, icons, graphic maps) are built in. Slides play smoothly without internet!

FOR WHOM:
If you wish to make relaxed yet authentic (magical:) trips around Angkor, even on a short vacation of 3-7 days, this is the app you need. However, if you prefer chilling out all day at a resort - you need our app even more - as we have short evening/sunset trips which can deliver magic in 2-3 hours!

Photography enthusiast?
The app has over 425 full screen slides and detailed spot maps for GPS pins- which mark interesting angles/views. We map out where to laze in the afternoon, capture evening light, or time-lapse at sunset-dusk.
We have added iPhone 6 panoramas and higher dynamic range DSLR shots. We also have film based shots of the past decade for that instagram look!

HOW IT WORKS:
1. We have added a tag interface to help you choose the right trip and spots based on mood and commute modes.
2. Then swipe trip cards (quick compare) or play a full presentation of a trip.
3. To create a trip map- choose the date and spot options.
And boom… view a GPS trip on your iPad or send it to your phone!

Each trip has GPS spots with timing based on sunset on that day. Although the spot time-stamps are a rough target, they help you track your trip and phase of day (and when sunset is important, it does help if you get there before it sets!).

note: the GPS maps need mobile internet. You can tether a wifi iPad through an iPhone or email GPS maps to your phone.

APP CONTENT STATS:
• Full Screen Photo-Slides:425 (500+ photos in app)
• Distinct GPS Spots:70 - each with an overlay map
(25 are hidden/uncrowded; 14 in-between journey)
• Full screen intro maps:4
• Starter guides:2 (slide cards & mini-maps)
• Siem Reap Hotels, Restaurants, & local spots: 25-30
• Glossary of Angkor History & Terminology in 4 text cards and a visual slide deck for each major term!
• Days needed: the app can cover 10-12++ days. But 4-7 days gives a good mix of Angkor spots and free mornings in Siem Reap.

ABOUT OUR APPROACH:
We have been sketching out such trips for our guests to SEAsia for a decade. Now the iPad makes it better!

All photos are shot by the author, ‘live’ on actual trips. Also, every spot covered, will at least have one photo (matching the phase of day in a trip). We include shots in non-ideal weather, as that is how it could be. So our photos help make decisions rather than just enhance content.

Our app is a result of first hand experience. We do not buy images nor ask experts to write. What you see, is what can be experienced!
